Ayrum Cultural Center and ASF

07/02/24

HyeConnect continues hosting new organizations and diverse initiatives aimed at the prosperity of Armenian communities. The Armenian School Foundation (ASF) represented on HyeConnect by Meline Melconian, one of the platform's pioneering users, has been actively pursuing opportunities for collaboration with other users aligned with their objectives. The recently registered Ayrum Cultural Center, the institution deeply engaged in tackling the sociocultural challenges of Ayrum in Tavush, has become the destination of ASF’s next operations. The Center has hosted a HyeDiscussion in the namesake HyeCommunity, raising awareness about the challenges and needs that the Ayrum community faces. The Cultural Center houses many clubs surrounding sports, arts, and crafts for Ayrum’s people and for 8 neighboring villages since there is no functioning culture center and library in those settlements. A connection was facilitated between ASF and ACC, resulting in provisions for furniture to be made in this Cultural Center. Initiations like these are significant in preserving the young population of Armenian regional villages, hence ensuring the flourishment and future of their social and cultural life. HyeConnect, holding national good as a value and mission, aims to be the digital space that will act as the connecting piece for such Armenia-centric initiatives.
