HyeProject Cultural Center for Koti's Youth

Armenian border villages are known as border guards for a good reason: here, each person serves as a guardian of the border and the motherland. HyeConnect user Liana Evinyan, devoted to the flourishment of the borderline village Koti, has created the HyeDiscussion "Have you heard about the village Koti in Tavush?" HyeConnect, employing its HyeDiscussion tool, serves as a platform through which open communication about the needs and challenges of the village takes place. The main challenge lies in enriching cultural life and creating entertainment and other opportunities for the youth in order to keep the village young and populated. Liana pointed out issues regarding the facilities in the village, such as the lack of new books in the school library, renovated rooms for organizing discussions, and a lack of furnishing in the movie hall. In order to tackle the challenges present in the cultural life of Koti, Liana's HyeDiscussion has been converted into a HyeProject named "Cultural Center for Koti's Youth." Another HC user, Meline Melconian, from the Armenian School Foundation (ASF), is involved in solving issues in borderline villages, such as providing schools with furniture. Meline visited Koti this September to deliver furniture for the school. These collective efforts are towards preserving and strengthening these villages of crucial significance. Through HyeConnect's operational spaces, such as the HyeProject and the HyeDiscussion, these ideas can be put into one productive stream where results are achieved.
